Indiana Trip: Purdue Basketball<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

This December, I\u2019ll spend one night at my cousin’s house in Nashville, TN, then head up to Indianapolis, IN, for the Indy Classic basketball tournament. After the Indy Classic, I\u2019ll head to West Lafayette, IN, and camp at a local state park. I have no idea what the weather will be, and I\u2019m prepared for a cold, snowy night. I\u2019m taking a risk camping in mid-to-late December in the Rust Belt, but what\u2019s an adventure without ice, snow, and cold?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t have a diesel heater yet, but I\u2019m planning to pick one up at some point; I’m just not sure if I\u2019ll be able to get one before this trip. The FSR tents have heater\/AC vent ports, and FSR\u2019s tent material is made to handle winters better than the average tent. I can\u2019t wait to test out the Aspen Lite FSR rooftop tent to see if it lives up to the hype I\u2019ve given it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ll stay the night at a local state park and attend Purdue vs. California Baptist at Mackey Arena, which I\u2019m very excited about! I recently obtained a master\u2019s degree from Purdue and have followed Purdue Basketball since 2021. I wasn\u2019t much of a basketball fan before 2021, but I quickly became a huge Purdue fan and watched every game I could. It\u2019s easy to love a team that\u2019s really good and wins, but I was sold on the team because of how they handled themselves on and off the court. They just always seemed to be a good group of young men and good players, not just good players. I have massive respect for these young men. Several of the main ones I followed, the Braden Smith group, have graduated and left Purdue, so I need to get familiar with this year’s team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matt Painter, the coach, is great and has been great for the school and the team. I\u2019m super excited to watch Purdue in a couple of games during this trip. Plus, I get to test out my new FSR rooftop tent in the cold. I\u2019ll write about my trip and experience and add a link to this post once it’s complete. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
